Martli Heyns

Martli is an award winning, self taught mixed media and watercolour artist based in Gauteng, South Africa. Although her creative journey began in childhood, her professional art career only took off at the age of 53, after stepping out of a more corporate environment.

As a keen observer of the natural world, she believes that every moment in the wild becomes an opportunity to tell a story through art. Whether from memory or from a reference photo, she captures her admiration of animals, birds, and nature's beauty on canvas and on paper.
