About me
Yoojin Miroa is a Korean-born British artist based in Switzerland. With a background in Architecture and Philosophy, she has long been drawn to the dialogue between structure and reflection. Her artistic journey as a painter flourished after moving to Switzerland in 2021.
An avid traveller, she discovered watercolour as her ideal medium—portable, spontaneous, and perfectly suited to conveying the essence of place. She carries her sketchbook wherever she goes, capturing the spirit of her surroundings—whether among mountain peaks, quiet streets, or the gentle rhythm of everyday life.
Her works emerge from her travels, painted on-site or later revisited in the studio as reflections of memory and emotion. Inspired by shifting light, architectural harmony, and the quiet poetry of ordinary moments, her paintings become intimate conversations between artist and subject, where observation and emotion meet in luminous washes of colour.
