About me

My watercolor practice is rooted in the contemplation of nature and the subtle emotions it evokes. Through water, pigment, and paper, I seek to express delicacy, time, and silence — elements I consider essential in an increasingly accelerated world.
Nature is not merely a subject, but a language: its textures, imperfections, and cycles guide my technical and poetic choices. I believe that bringing natural imagery into living spaces awakens a more sensitive gaze, encouraging care, preservation, and a deeper reconnection with what is essential.

Biography

Originally trained as a civil engineer, I found my true artistic path in watercolor approximately ten years ago, when I became deeply drawn to the expressive freedom of the medium and the behavior of color in contact with water.
I was born in Aquidauana, a small city in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, known as the gateway to the Pantanal biome — a landscape that profoundly shaped my visual sensibility and artistic vision.
Throughout my career, I have participated in exhibitions in the states of Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul. Recently, two of my works were selected to become part of the permanent collection and technical reserve of the Museums of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, marking the first public acquisition of artworks by the State Government.

Artistic Philosophy

My artistic philosophy is grounded in the belief that natural beauty can act as a catalyst for emotional awareness and transformation. I see art as a bridge between the viewer and nature, capable of evoking empathy, memory, and environmental consciousness.
I pursue a visual language that honors the essence of watercolor — transparency, fluidity, and unpredictability — avoiding rigid realism and prioritizing atmosphere, texture, and sensation. Each piece is conceived as an invitation to pause and contemplate.

⸻

Practice and Technique

I work primarily with watercolor on 100% cotton paper, exploring layered washes, subtle overlays, and the spontaneous interaction between water and pigment. Brazilian fauna and flora frequently appear in my work, approached with careful attention to composition, texture, and the expressive potential of the medium.

⸻

Projects and Reach

As an independent artistic project, I created a collection of 78 illustrated watercolor bookmarks. The project reached an international audience, with over 1,000 reproductions sold worldwide, expanding access to my work and reinforcing the connection between art and everyday life.
