Milena is a Canadian-based visual artist born in the former Yugoslavia, working in watercolor, ink, and mixed media Her work has been recognized in juried exhibitions including the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolours’ International Open Water, Women in Watercolor International, Manifest Gallery, and the Federation of Canadian Artists, and featured in Splash 26: Best of Watercolor, Artists Magazine, and New Visionary Magazine, earning awards from Art and Color 365, BoldBrush, and others. In addition to her personal practice, she illustrates fantasy publications, serves as Ontario Representative for the International Watercolor Society Canada, and maintains memberships with several national and international arts organizations. Anchored by watercolor’s delicacy and unpredictability, her evolving practice bridges personal narrative with contemporary art concerns, translating psychological nuance and fragmented memory into intimate, uncanny, and enduring images.
