Why do I stick to watercolor when so many say that it is the most humbling and difficult medium? The challenge is different each time, but for sure it is less forgiving than other media, and the process activates both left and right side of my brain. Painting has made me much more sensitive about everything around me: shapes, colors, light, relationships of objects, even how people behave. It is intuitive. Any creative endeavor is exhilarating, but rarely does one single activity keep giving to its creator. It sustains and elevates me, and that is beautiful.
