About me
Creativity is a gift, and absolutely our best capital: the more we use it the more it grows! Thankful for this gift I want to express and share my joy of life and love for nature through my art. In addition to traditional watercolour paintings I also create watercolour batik paintings on rice paper, and paint on the synthetic "paper" (YUPO) with watercolours. These require totally different techniques - which is OK for me because I love to experiment.
Graphics, soft pastel and oil paintings, as well as mixed media are further tools I use to express my ideas. The wonders in our nature keep on inspiring me. Furthermore, ordinary everyday objects, especially abandoned or nostalgic ones, trigger my phantasy - resulting to artworks with hidden stories and silent humour.
I see paintings as visual stories, the same way I see stories as verbal paintings. It is important for me to paint only what attracts me at the moment and to commit myself to life-long learning; every sheet is my teacher!
