Tay Wei Xiang ( Gray Tay )
Born in Johor, Malaysia, I developed a love for painting from a young age, especially watercolours. During my childhood, I spent a lot of time in my mother's hometown of Pontian County in Johor – a charming fishing village where fishing boats floated on the sea, and the town was full of character. These scenes left a deep impression on me. As a result, I often depict such landscapes in my watercolour artworks, using my own style to showcase a vibrant array of colour.
For me, the act of creation transcends mere artistic expression; it becomes a channel for the depths of my inner emotions and memories. Each stroke of my brush weaves a narrative, a captivating story captured within the gentle embrace of watercolors—a tale shared with the world.
