My love for watercolor painting began in childhood. I was immediately drawn to the transparency and delicacy of this medium. My first art teacher was my uncle, who used to paint in front of my eyes, awakening my curiosity and imagination.
I was born and raised in Ukraine, of Polish origin, and for many years I have been living in Italy, on the Ligurian coast. This place has deeply inspired me, especially through its endless seascapes, which have become a central subject of my artistic research.
My true artistic journey with watercolor began on March 20, 2020, during the lockdown. From that day on, I have painted every single day, discovering and understanding the magic of this extraordinary expressive medium.
In the spring of 2021 and 2022, I participated in the online exhibition JIWI Japan. I was also selected among the top ten watercolor artists worldwide at the first international online exhibition “Arts in the Time of Covid” organized by IWS Pennsylvania (USA).
I took part in the 4th International Watercolor Festival Castra 2021 (IWS Slovenia) and in the festival “Watercolor with Love” (IWS Russia), before the military aggression against Ukraine.
In 2022, a long-held dream came true when I participated in the World Watercolor Congress in Fabriano. In the autumn of the same year, I became a finalist at the Freedom International Watercolor Festival Ukraine 2022.
In November 2022, I became a member of the Italian Watercolor Association (Associazione Italiana Acquerello).
During 2022–2023, I worked as a volunteer watercolor teacher for refugee children. I was also invited to participate in the charity project “Pennellate d’Autismo” for autistic children, presented at the exhibition in Verona and included in the 2023 calendar.
In 2023, I organized an art cruise for people who love traveling and painting in every city they visit. For three consecutive years, artists and creative travelers joined this unique artistic experience. In the same year, I founded the Facebook group AcquaSavona, a space where watercolor lovers can share their achievements and deepen their knowledge of watercolor.
In 2024, I conducted two watercolor workshops and was invited as a guest artist to the Watercolor Festival in Prague, where I demonstrated my technique of painting simultaneously with both hands. I later presented the same demonstration in an online meeting for art school teachers in Ukraine.
In the spring of 2024, my watercolor “Bergeggi” participated in the Fabriano Congress and was exhibited in the United States, in Texas. In the autumn of 2024, I received a prize and a bronze medal for third place at the international online exhibition “Watercolor Golden Brush” in Paris with my artwork “Simply Stones”, which was also selected for Fabriano in Acquarello 2025.
In 2025, the book “50 Years of Watercolor History” was published, featuring my watercolor “Autumn Is Coming”.
I have participated in numerous group exhibitions in Italy and abroad and have held several solo exhibitions in Liguria.
I teach and learn every day. For me, watercolor is an infinite flow of emotions and colors.
My dream is to open my own school, where everyone can feel the harmony of colors and make their dreams come true—at least on paper. ❤️
