About me

From my first experiences with watercolor about 30 years ago, I felt a great affinity with this medium. The fact that each brushstroke opens up
possibilities instead of defining something specific stimulates me the most. It is the taste for risk that motivates me.

In my opinion, painting with watercolors takes a real letting go. We must
paint with the medium and not impose ourselves on it. It is truly a team
effort between the painter and the watercolor. For example, when it is
raining or it is very windy, I like to measure myself against the elements, feeling that I do not have absolute control over the reaction of the medium, but the power to express the beauty of the scene.

Indeed, it is always a great pleasure for me to settle in the outdoor, take out my brushes and take the time to let myself be challenged by what
surrounds me: the shapes, the smells, the wind, the light.

In a society where everything is going faster, taking the time to represent on paper my emotions in relation to a subject fascinates me and allows me to catch my breath.
