About me
I am a 25 year old Artist from Glasgow, working with Sculpture, Watercolour and Photography. After obtaining a BA with First Class Hons in Contemporary Art Practice, I won the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts (SWAc) Young Artist award in 2020 before having work featured in the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) 141st annual show in 2021 in which I won the Alexander Graham Munro Travel award.
The transparent nature of Watercolour and inks is greatly appealing to me. Many of my works feature skin-like materials; leather, kombucha flesh, cigarette skins, onion skins etc. I like the illusionary quality of both the skin and the medium, the potential to look at individual layers and even the space between the painting and its supporting structure.
