About me
I am living in Southern Germany nearby Stuttgart.
As a scientist by education nature always played a major role in my life.
The scientist in me is fascinated by the inner beauty of nature, based on complex yet perfectly designed systems down to the smallest details.
My artist sole is craving for the beautiful landscapes nature presents, the interplay of light and shadows, the well designed shapes and colours of plants and flowers.
I started painting about 20 years ago when I realised how much more a painting can convey of nature with respect to emotions, atmosphere and meaning compared to my photographs.
About 6 years ago I decided to add more formal education to my self-taught skillset by taking up painting courses held by established artists.
I want to touch people with my paintings, want people to engage with them. This and the endless fascinating impressions life offers every day asking for being painted keep me going and growing.
