Blanca Yolanda Galván Martínez
She was born in the city of Toluca de Lerdo, State of Mexico, on December 16th 1950.
She studied a Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy, which she practiced from 1972 to 2003.
In 2010, she entered the Painting Workshop of Benito Nogueira Ruíz, staying until today.
She took workshops with architect Laura Vázquez from 2014, currently remaining for seasons in her workshop.
She has focused her studies as a visual artist in the watercolor technique.
The trends that she currently handles in this technique are: Figurative and Abstract, being Landscape one of her favorites, however, currently her attention has focused on the human figure.
She has participated in several courses at the national and international level with Renowned watercolorists from various countries.
She has participated in Festivals and Exhibitions in different parts of the world such as: The Urbino and Fabriano Festival, held in Italy; in Mestre, Venice in Italy;Exhibition and Workshop in the city of Prague (Czech Republic); In Greece and Switzerland; at the Biennale of Bolivia, City of Cochabamba.
Also, she has participated in group exhibitions at the National Museum and all the exhibitions organized by the Association of Friends of the Museum at the Museum of Watercolor of the State of Mexico.
Also, she has participated in national competitions (Tlaloc Prize and others promoted by the Secretary of Culture of the State of Mexico.)
One of her works has been exhibited in the place of honor as piece of the month, in the Museum of the Watercolor of the State of Mexico.
