Much of my work is derived from the natural environment and my response to a particular place. I work in watercolour, mixed media and recycled materials. I am interested in thought processes; intuition as well as ‘rule,’ making to act as a catalyst for a series of work. I spend most of my time outdoors as I need a direct contact with the natural environment before the work begins. Much of my work comes from making small observations as well as playing with ideas. Watercolour allows me to play with ‘time’ as the pigment disperses and interacts with the paper or substrate. 

My work is held in both Public and Private collections both here in the UK and world wide.  I am  a member of Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours.
