Shashank Balajiprasad

Shashank Balajiprasad is a third year Animation student at MAHE, Dubai. He has been drawing perspectives and sketches since the age of 3. His first exhibition happened in Grade 1, and featured a compilation of all his sketches, that were drawn without using an eraser. Since then he has come a long way under the tutelage of Mrs.Latha.K, and Mr.Alem, and is now training under celebrated watercolourist Mr.Atul Panase. He is also an exhibiting artist at DIAC, Dubai. His paintings 'Twilight in the Desert', ‘Dubai: Traditional Charm’ and ‘Travelling treasures’ were selected as winners for the 'Teens' category in 2016, 2019 and 2023. He also received the main painting prize in the teens category at DIAC’s annual members’ exhibition in 2021 for his work “The Land’s End”. His art work on GREEN FUTURE won first prize at the EDUFEST 2022, Dubai. He has also participated in and won prizes at several events organized by Al Hathboor’s ARTOZE gallery, the LuLu Exchange's 'Rang De Basanti' contest and the ACES painitng competition, to name a few. He has also designed and painted the magazine cover for his school’s Vision magazine in 2018. His paintings have been featured in his school magazines, as well as MAGZOID several times. His special strengths lie in his ability to sketch 3D perspectives flawlessly and with extreme speed. His other interests include creating graphic animations and 3d model making.
