In her paintings, Gnott attempts to capture the significance and reality of one moment in time. To study what appear to be the mundane objects of life, to explore the minute details and to vividly express them on paper with the fluidity of watercolor. “When people see my work, they often feel a sense of warmth and nostalgia, remembering back to simpler times.” While Gnott’s subjects are commonplace, her paintings are anything but. They show a mastery of light and shadow, and they have an emotional quality that can be felt as well as seen. While her talent and creative abilities continue to win accolades across the Country, her true gratification comes from watching people enjoy the treasures she creates.
Gnott's watercolors have earned her signature status in the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the Watercolor Honor Society. Her watercolors have also been featured in the following publications: International Artist, American Art Collector, Watercolor Magic and Watercolor. To add to her portolio of awards, Jacqueline has also been the recipient of 2 national grants from prestigious foundations, The Jackson Pollack-Lee Krasner Foundation Grant and The Stephen King - Haven Foundation Grant.
