About me
My name is Valerie Pettingill from Australia.
I was born in Victortia and lived there for forty four years on farms along the Murray River. I love our gum trees in Australia. I will allways have a great love for country and the Murray River. Moving to Queensland I began learning to paint in Watercolours. I have attended many workshops with Australian tutors and gradually developed my own style. The more I learn the more there is to learn.
I have been lucky to win many awards and sell paintings and do commissions.
I paint many subjects including landscapes ,portraits,flowers, animals and landscapes.
I now belong t the Redcliffe Art Society in Queensland organising workshops here so others can learn from some of the top Australian artists. I also teach two classes weekly from beginners to experienced students. I belong to the Watercolour Society Queensland and the Watercolour Society of Victoria.
