About me
Rachana is a watercolour artist based out of Bangalore. She has always had a penchant for drawing and painting which led her to pursue a career in architecture. After a brief stint as an architect she gave up her practice to pursue painting full time.
She enjoys painting landscapes and cityscapes and is majorly inspired by her hometown Mysore.She primarily focuses on finding old colonial buildings and paints them and it's her way of paying tribute to the bygone era.She hopes to bring focus on these forgotten gems through her paintings.She paints Pleinair mostly and tries to capture the atmosphere of a scene.
She recently wrapped up her first solo showcase 'Meandering Memoir' at gallery in Bangalore.
Her work was also selected to the annual exhibit at The IWS India's show which focused on Pleinair works.
