Ashwini, began her career in the art industry as a part time design in Nashik in her youth. She has managed to continue with her art journey, while going through a variety of changes through her personal and professional life. She managed to participate in art competitions, teach art and be an active part of art communitites in Mumbai, Nashik and Pune in India over the past 30 years, in addition to a 7 year stint in Singapore.
In India, Ashwini has had the pleasure and honour of participating in multiple state-level art competitions, and winning multiple Camlin sponsored competition in the 1980s.
Additionally, she has been a part of competitions held by the Nashik chapter of the International Rotary Club.
She has also been considered in the merit rankings of the Shankar's International Childrens' Competition, a socio-political magazine, in her early years.
In the early 2000s, she was an active member of the community curated by Singaporean artist, Tham Pui San. She also created various at-home art tutorials for children and briefly taught art to all age group while in Singapore.
More recently, Ashwini spends her time in Pune, India and has help in setting up multiple group showcases for the "Indian miniature" style of art from 2018. She and her group have had the honour of hosting exhibitions at some of the city's coveted venues and tie-ins with a local jewellery store chain to display and sell their artwork.
She has also helped in promoting the "Indian miniature" style of art at the Pune Art Festival in 2019.
Her latest artistic venture was to build on her watercolour skill, through classes with renowned Indian watercolour artist, Mr. Vikas Kulkarni. As a part of this group, she was selected as one of the students to have a collabrative exhibition at one of Pune's oldest art exhibition spaces, Balgandharva in September of 2022.
