About me
Hi, I am Harshini Murugesan, an Indian based Artist and Architect . “Your Creation is Your Reflection” is my insight. Art has been my favourite companion since childhood and has nurtured together with me. My artworks are a collection of anything that inspires or instigates me. Each work uniquely records my momentary thoughts, emotions or responses pertaining to the situation. The journey in a rich cultural background has greatly influenced the art making process.
As an ardent lover of diversity , I was interested in exploring diverse mediums that had flavoured a variety to my practice. They include pencil, charcoal, acrylic, water colours, pastels, henna, miniature chalk art, craft making with waste materials.
Beginning with imitations, the travel traced a constant engrossment in social subjects. Realistic depiction and detailing are my strength. Paintings interest me the most, occupying much of the gallery. Colours play a major role in my works, the combinations and contrasts enrich the outlook. My motive in achieving gender equality has become an strong obsession in my recent creations. The works are wrapped with content to be decoded.
