I am Janet Kingwill, a sheep farmers wife from the Karoo in the desert area of South Africa. I am passionate about my farming life style, the harsh beauty of our countryside and I love sharing it through my art. I paint in many different mediums but find watercolour very exciting,challenging and always surprising! I love the immediacy of watercolours and whenever I travel, my watercolours are always in my handbag. Seeing and sharing the beauty in the mundane is my calling.
