“When I paint, I feel happiest and at peace with myself. I want to create paintings that’ll entice the viewers to glimpse at every inch of the canvas; have their hearts filled with wonders; and have time stopped for them.”
Valerie approached art at the age of 7, painting and drawing, merely a form of creative expression and was set aside after. Valerie committed to pursuing her passion in art during mid 2020. She explored various mediums such as watercolour, acrylic, oil painting, and digital painting.
As of today, Valerie is under the guidance of Jansen Chow, International Watercolour Master, learning mainly watercolour. In August 2022, she returned from France after learning from Timothy Stotz and Michelle Tully in figure drawing and oil painting. Learning directly from passionate and talented artists gave her deeper understanding in forms and beauty, and has allowed her to apply learnt knowledge on paper and on screen.
In Valerie’s paintings, she aims to capture a sense of soulfulness and serenity within her audiences. P
