About me
Although my artistic career has lead me into varous media and visual experiences, my fondness for watercolour was where it all began. The dramatic western Canadian landscape has always been my primary inspiration, and I enjoy the challenge of interpreting it with gestures and bold strokes. One of the challenges of watercolour is that it has a mind of its own and can contribute some exciting elements when allowed to function freely.
I have enjoyed the privilege of exhibiting internationally in Canada, the US, Europe, and Japan and have published the book Waterton: Brush & Pen as well as various articles in Canadian and international magazines. In addition, I have enjoyed teaching workshops in watercolour and acrylic techniques and have produced two videos on these topics.
Society memberships include the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, the Alberta Society of Artists and the Society of Canadian Artists.
I currently reside in Calgary Alberta Canada.
