About me

My art journey started more than ten years ago. I attended a workshop with Master Fernando Sena, a well-known teacher and prolific artists in the Philippines with many years of experience.  In his workshop we were taught the basics of the most popular mediums like pencil, felt pens, acrylic, oil and watercolor.  I had the opportunity to join group exhibits mostly in acrylics organized by him and his Buenas Artes art group.   In 2018, just before pandemic, I attended a watercolor workshop with Pinky Peralta, a watercolorist.  Fascinated by the spontaneity and the flow of the medium, I got back to painting again.  Then pandemic hit us, it was the opportune time to concentrate on painting watercolor and learning the techniques.  To better improve my craft, I enrolled more on-line watercolor workshops locally by masters Iris Babao-Uy, JC Vargas, Lito Ballaran , Pinky Peralta and also workshops by international  masters like  NB Gurung, Jayson Yeoh and Art Cunanan   Aside from local exhibits, I joined a few international watercolor virtual exhibits through the help of the Philippine Guild of Watercolors of which I am a member.

Iam more of an impressionist and my subjects are mostly flowers, still lifes and landscapes.  Lately, I have been into learning to paint urbanscape.  I paint to appreciate the talent bestowed upon me by our Creator, to share my talent   to inspire others.   I believe, that there is an artist in everyone, one just needs to try it.   Art taught me a lot of things; like accepting my weakness and learn from it; appreciating the beauty in the mundane of life.  Art humbled me by not comparing myself to others. Instead, it helped me focus on my progress and to improve it.  I realized, each one has its own journey.  Having said that, art is still a wonderful experience, in such as it’s a way to express ourselves, s
