Sofia Gomes

My name is Sofia Gomes, I´m Portuguese and I live in Turcifal, a small village very close to Lisbon.

I´m an Urban Sketcher and I´m truly passionate about watercolour.

I have no background in Arts but I have had the privilege to learn from wonderful artists like Eudes Correia, André Kano and António Bártolo.

Watercolour is a true fascinating medium since it allows a magical dance of colours on the paper that is unexpected and beautiful. Watercolour is challenging because it has a will of its own but it allows a spontaneous fusion of colours that is truly fascinating.

I paint in search of this wonderful fusion of pigments to transmit emotion and passion for the subject and the medium.
