Hi, I'm Trudy Colette, and I'm absolutely enchanted by watercolors!
love to paint people, animals, and scapes. I express my creativity in various ways—I like to paint plein air, while other times, I draw inspiration from life's beautiful moments, all from the comfort of my cozy studio.
Creativity has been a lifelong companion, but when rheuma became a part of my journey, I turned to watercolors. They're gentle on my hands and allow me to continue pursuing my passion.
I'm a big fan of Mother Earth, so I'm very selective about the materials I use. It's an absolute must for me to choose eco-friendly options.
Ordinary, everyday life inspires me. A simple beam of light, a burst of color, or a moment that resonates with my soul—those are the moments I long to capture in my art. I have an unwavering affection for painting everyday scenes and portraying real people.
Colors are like pure magic in my world. I possess a multitude of palettes, each with a kaleidoscope of hues, carefully chosen to set the perfect mood. When inspiration strikes, my first instinct is to select the most perfect colors.
And as for my canvas, I favor materials like mineral or rag paper—eco-friendly choices with a minimal water footprint. These canvases allow me to pour my passion onto paper with bold brushstrokes and vibrant colors. Strong, vivid hues on mineral or rag paper bring my distinctive, figurative style.
