I have been painting in watercolor since my teenage years.
Watercolor is a form of meditation for me—the process of painting is an invitation to live in the moment.
Watercolor is spontaneous and unpredictable. The transparency and fluid transitions of this technique allow me to depict moods and atmospheres that are often difficult to put into words.
My paintings mostly originate from impressions of nature and the attempt to capture the transience and nuances of life. I sometimes like to portray reality in a somewhat more abstract way through the interplay of transparent or sedimenting, granulating pigments with the unpredictable flow of water.
