About me
I'm an selftaught artist who is painting mainly faces of woman in no realistic way. My motifs are always dreamy and like a fairytale. I often try to reach a direct connection between the face and the viewer or pull the viewer in the enchanted surrounding of the artwork. I like to work with elements of folkart, fairztales, mystical themes, botanicals and special stiles like art deco, klimt inspired pattern, integrating typos and illustrative elements in my art.
MIXED MEDIA FACES
I like to paint faces and figures or things that have to do with the sea - my father was a captain, that's probably in my genes. Mostly on paper and with many different media - acrylic, watercolor, oil pastels, inks and colored or watercolor pencils - also with collaged, stamped backgrounds, with stencils, sprayed or with integrated fonts and also often very colorful.
Since 2019 I'm an artteacher for handlettering, mixed media and also watercolor for non-realistic portraits. I take part in online workshop programs and on-demand bundles. I am also an author of a step by step book about painting and drawing famous woman faces (in German) by EMF. Besides this I'm happy to be a brand ambassador for Clairefontaine Paper and EDDING.
