About me

At the age of 12, Parisa initiated her artistic journey by crafting and selling hand-painted dry mountain flowers and unique greeting cards. In 2002, she began her career in interior design in Tehran, Iran. Her love for watercolors blossomed in 2007 when she discovered Sterling Edwards' book during an art class.

Upon her move to the USA in 2016 and her residency in Orange County, California, Parisa attended an art school, where she further developed her skills. In 2019, she participated in a transformative workshop with Sterling Edwards, leading her to define her own unique style known as the "One-Wash technique." Unlike most conventional methods, Parisa uses large flat bristle brushes and a decent amount of fresh paint, working on remarkably large watercolor paper. Covering the entire expansive paper in one go, this approach completes most of the painting in the first layer, with minor details added after drying the paper. This spontaneous and flowing process, without initial pencil sketches, has become her unique style, shared through a book and online school.

Inspired by the vast beauty of oceans, Parisa's artistic talent now extends globally, with her pieces finding homes in private collections worldwide. Her book, enriched by a foreword from Sterling Edwards, reflects her persistent dedication to the craft and the innovative spirit behind her One-Wash technique.
