About me
My name is Iryna, and I am a watercolor artist based in Croatia, originally from Odesa, Ukraine.
Irina Shaft is my artistic pseudonym.
I am a self-taught artist, and since 2018 art has become an essential part of my life.
I create atmospheric artworks that capture feelings, memories, and meaningful moments of life. Through watercolor and mixed techniques, I try to convey light, silence, harmony, mood, and the emotional connection between people, nature, and the world around us.
I love experimenting with different techniques, subjects, and artistic approaches, because for me art is a constant process of exploration and discovery. My flowers tell their own stories, my landscapes preserve impressions from travels, and each painting reflects a special emotional state or moment that touched me deeply.
Traveling is one of my greatest sources of inspiration. Mediterranean sceneries, old cities, rain, sea reflections, flowers, quiet streets, and fleeting moments often become part of my artistic world.
I believe an artist never stops learning. Art is a lifelong journey of growth, curiosity, and self-discovery, and I continue exploring new sides of myself through every painting I create.
I regularly participate in international exhibitions and festivals, sharing my works with audiences around the world.
