About me
Antoinette Blyth is an artist and tutor residing in Melbourne, Australia. Trained in the art of Oil painting initially, she moved on to Watercolour and has been painting in this medium for over 30 years. As well as judging exhibitions, she continues to teach to pass on her knowledge to others.
"As an artist and teacher, I feel privileged to be able to impart skills of painting to others in a manner that encourages confidence, individuality and determination. To watch the development and passion of a painter is exciting and rewarding.
Working in the Watercolour medium , as challenging as it is, presents excitement, creativity and frustration all in one go! It is not without the need for perseverence and persistence, but with this, plus a desire to achieve, you will succeed."
Over the years, Antoinette has won numerous awards for her watercolour paintings, and her work is found in private collections around Australia, New Zealand and overseas.
Antoinette was a past Vice President of the original AGRA, Australian Guild of Realist Artists, and past President of Sherbrooke Art Society. She is a member of Emerald Arts Society, The Victorian Artists Society, Watercolour Society of Victoria and Whitehorse Arts Association.
