SAADET GÖZDE
She was born in 1953 in Bayburt, Turkey. She completed her secondary education in AÄŸrı and her higher education in Ankara, Gazi University Vocational Education Faculty, Painting Department (1975). She recieved “proficiency in art” from Selçuk University Gradutae School of Social Sciences, Fine Arts Program in the year of 1991, while she was doing her master’s degree at Gazi University Institute of Social Sciences.
She worked as an art teacher in secondary education institutes in Avanos and Ankara between 1975-1995. In 1995, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor to MYE Faculty of Fine Arts and retired in 1997. Since then she continues her works at her personal studio in Ankara.
She drew attention with her original, large size watercolor works “Lights of Hope” and “Warm Winters” inspired by nature.
She has focused on Anatolian cultures, mythologies and goddesses since the early 2000s, and exhibited these works of different techniques with the concept of "Hittites are in Istanbul" in the Istanbul Archeology Museum Darphane-i Amire building in 2015. In recent years, she continues to work for the “Ankara the Capital” exhibition.
She held 61 personal exhibitions in different cities of Turkiye, where she used watercolor, oil painting, acrylic, engraving and ceramic techniques.
Saadet Gözde, who was the chairman of the board of directors of the United Painters and Sculptors Association (BRHD) between 2004 and 2006, is also a member of the International Plastic Arts Association (UPSD) and the Watercolor Painters Group.
Her works are in the private collections of official institutions and individuals in the country and in the private collections about 14 countries abroad.
