About me
Ruth Nicol was born in Glasgow and is now living and practicing in Leith, Edinburgh.
Graduating from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA Hons Drawing & Painting in 2010, she was included in the prestigious Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) New Contemporaries Exhibition in 2011.
Elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) in 2024 she is also a professional Member of the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA) and the Paisley Art Institute (PAI).
Working with Scottish commercial galleries her work is also held in multiple notable collections including the Scottish Parliament, Biggar Museum & Art Gallery, Falkirk District Council and Cromlix Hotel.
Nicol is included in the Royal Scottish Academy Art Consultancy and Rental programme.
She is an experienced art installer and exhibition invidulator.
