About me
I grew up in a humble family of eight siblings, with my father as the sole provider. Since childhood, I loved drawing, especially with vibrant colors, but my family couldn’t afford art school.
In my 50s, I finally pursued my passion for painting. During COVID-19 in 2021, I began learning watercolor painting and, in December 2022, held my first solo exhibition in Ipoh, titled “It’s Raining……”. The show featured cats and dogs, with most artworks purchased by animal lovers. In September 2024, I held a month-long solo exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, titled “Durian Flowers”, to raise awareness about these beautiful blooms.
In 2023, I represented Team Malaysia in the Asia Pacific International Arts Festival Grand Finals in Beijing, China, winning First Prize in the Open Art category and receiving the Malaysia International Outstanding Recognize Award. In 2024, I competed in the same festival’s Grand Finals in Bangkok, Thailand, securing Second Prize.
Over 2023 and 2024, I participated in various online art competitions, earning multiple awards. I was also honored to be featured in the sixth edition of “Successful People in Malaysia” in 2024. Recently, I completed a 12-month Mastery Program with Milan Art Institute (USA) to further my journey toward becoming a professional artist.
