I am a water colour artist, born in St Petersburg, and I live and work in Denmark .
I painted since I was as a student at the Fine Arts Academy, and all the years I was an architect in Russia and in England.Twelve years of my life I painted in London and Yorkshire.
Since 2010, as I moved to Copenhagen, I focused entirely on painting. I draw and paint urban views, landscapes, flowers and people. As well as painting regularly for 35 years now, am teaching water colour techniques, work as an architectural illustrator and I exhibit my work.
My wet in wet style changed few times over the years , and I combine now dry technique in my architectural views and landscapes and more wet techniques for my flowers.
For the Fabriano exhibition 2026 I decided to show my painting with Rododendron blooms Their scarlet clusters of flowers have many variations, as light changes the hues and colours, depending where the sunlight falls on them. The title is "The Rododendron's Scarlet Blooms ".
