About me
Hey there! I'm Florin Dumitru Dragos, but you can just call me Florin. I was born in Satu Mare, Romania, in 1991. I’ve always had a passion for art, but about two years ago, I stumbled upon the magic of watercolor. Ever since then, I've been hooked!
As an artist, I am drawn to the dramatic effect between light and shadow, which serves as my main source of inspiration, as well as the dynamic interaction between natural landscapes and the complexity of urban environments. I love how watercolor can mimic the fluidity of light, allowing me to convey emotion and atmosphere in my work.
Traveling fuels my creativity, and I often bring my sketchbook along to capture fleeting moments and scenery that I can later develop into detailed paintings.
Art for me is more than just a creative outlet; it’s a lens through which I view the world. Growing up in the charming town of Satu Mare, I learned to appreciate the beauty in both simplicity and complexity, and this duality informs my art. Each stroke of my brush allows me to express my thoughts, feelings, and experiences, inviting viewers to engage with my perception of reality.
