About me

I am María Luisa Vicente, an artist and architect from La Plata.
From my studio I seek to merge technique and sensitivity, to achieve an authentic and personal expression in each work. My purpose has always been to create works with soul.
I find inspiration in nature, flowers, fields, buildings that treasure memories, and everyday scenes that, with their simplicity, tell stories full of meaning.

A few months ago, receiving a distinction in the plein air competition of the Yacu Río Cuarto 2024 International Watercolor Festival marked an unforgettable moment in my path as an artist. It was more than a recognition; it was a reminder of how much this art has transformed me.

Each brushstroke has taught me patience, ease, and the importance of embracing the unexpected. Watercolor is transparent, like our emotions; fluid, like life itself. In each work I find a part of my essence as an artist and as a person in constant evolution. Thanks to this technique, I have learned to flow, to accept mistakes as part of the path, and to express what words cannot reach.

In my activity as a teacher teaching watercolor, I am dedicated to guiding others in strengthening their own artistic language, helping them connect with their deepest essence and manifest it to the world. This purpose also reflects my personal quest: a continuous path towards authenticity and inner connection.

Participating in Fabriano in Acquerello is a privilege and an opportunity to share my vision with a global community that celebrates the richness of watercolor. I hope that my work inspires and evokes emotions, showing how this medium, with its fluidity and versatility, can capture the beauty and essence of the everyday.
