About me

I was born in 1971 in Vilnius, Lithuania. In 1986, I graduated from Vilnius Art School. In 1994, I graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts, where I obtained a degree in design. I learned watercolor painting from the artist Vytautas Peciukonis, where I fell in love with watercolor. Later, I continued to improve my skills with international watercolor masters.
Since 2002, I have held solo watercolor exhibitions and participated in international watercolor biennales in the USA, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Peru, China, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Australia, Russia, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Finland, Switzerland, Serbia, Albania, Poland, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Estonia.
In 2009, I established my own watercolor studio, where I continue to teach watercolor painting to both children and adults. In 2012, I became a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union.

A damp sheet of paper smells of rain and fresh milk. It’s so wonderful to pour watercolor on it. Transparent layers float through the soul like clouds. I cannot imagine how one would live without creativity.

I have been drawing my whole life. When my three children were small, I had very little time. I would paint early in the mornings by the lake, at sunrise, while everyone else was still asleep. Since then, I have learned to cherish time and dedicate the best hours of my day to watercolor.

Now, I am a grandmother of four, a master of watercolor, and a teacher. Painting with watercolor has become the most important part of my life. The predominant theme in my work is water.
