About me
Pat McKenzie began painting seriosly after moving to their farm in Aireys Inlet, Victoria, Australia which is adjacent to the famed Great Ocean Road and the Great Otway National Park.therefore there is much inspiration for her work.
Rocks, water, tidal flows, Australian bush, farm life are some of her favourite subjects as well as portraits.
She works in all media, depending on the subject matter. and enjoys the challenges of it all.
She has won many awards for her work. Has held solo exhibitions at the Victorian Artis Societyin Melbourne , Eagles Nest fine Art Gallery in aireys Inlet, Wintergarden in Geelong and Shearers ARms Gallery, Geelong.
She has been a finalist in the ANL Maritime Exhibition at the Mission to Seafarers, docklands and finalist in the antional Equine Prize in Mansfield Victoria.
Pat has traveeled extensively with her paints both in australi and overseas, with much of the material being used for inspiration for her exhibitions.
Many of her paintings are now hanging in private collections both in Australia and Internationally.
Pat is past President of the Anglesea Art HOuse for 7 years and it Treasurer for 6 years.
She presently turors weekly oil & watercolour classes at the Geelong Art society and watercolour classes in turquay.
She is a country member of the Victoriaian Artis Society and a member of the Victorian Watercolour society.
