Pavle ŠÄurk, born in 1947 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, is no longer just a creative seeker but an established painter with character and identity. His artistic creativity is admired not only by the general public but also by experts, as evidenced by numerous awards and recognitions.
Pavle ŠÄurk was educated by renowned academic painters and is a member of the section of the Cultural and Artistic Society of the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana. He is also a member of the friendly association of painters ART FEMIPS, with which he participates in artistic events throughout Europe.
Fresh painting knowledge, the ability to enhance a motif with his own poetic sense of perception, and a careful exploration of the expressiveness of individual artistic techniques are the elements that have allowed Pavle to rise to the pedestal of landscape artistry. There, he plays a prominent role as a painter of colorfully dynamic creations and subtle color dialogues. His works are always marked by decisive brushstrokes that capture the expressive essence.
The starting point of his work is abstract realism, more specifically landscapes, which he captures at least in their motif appearance.
With his strong and swift brushstrokes, along with energetic yet sensual colorism, he has created a unique and recognizable style. He plays with both light and colors, as well as their applications. In some places, these applications are tangible and thick, while in others, they are airy and soft.
Pavle is always yearning for more. He satisfies this desire through experimentation, both in techniques and in the interpretation of motifs.
