About me
Hanna Zahorna is a multidisciplinary Ukrainian-Canadian artist who conveys delicate beauty with bold interpretations with her paintbrush.
Born and educated in Kyiv as a graphic designer and artist. The main themes of her paintings are landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, abstract painting. She fell in love with Montreal in 2017, and now enjoys making paintings of the houses and streets of this city. Every house, every apartment and window has its own unique charm in Hanna’s eyes.
“General subject of my works lately is the city of Montreal itself and people who inhabit it.
I’m inspired by the contrast between the city’s rich history and modern dynamic life.”
After decades of painting, exhibitions, and special projects Hanna now dedicates a portion of her time to teaching and workshops; Hanna loves to share her unique vision and techniques in watercolour, oil, and acrylic.
Her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the world. The majority of them are located in Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Columbia, Canada, and the USA.
