About me
My name is Sarah Billengren (born 1989), and I´m an artist, archaeologist and singer currently dividing my time between the beautiful valley of lake Vättern in south of Sweden, and occasionally the Mediterranean shores in lovely south of France. As long as I can remember, Í´ve loved to quietly study the light, movements, shapes and nuances in the world that surrounds us, and with the aid of a brush and pencil express what´s taking place in the outer, as well as the inner world.
The core of my work as an aquarelle painter lies in exploring and understanding our deep connection with nature, as well as the bond we share across time and cultures as human beings. The former is influenced by long walks in alpine environments, where I sleep under a tarp or directly under the starry sky. I sincerely hope that the peace and tranquility experienced in the high mountains may transcend through the paper to you as a viewer.
